Meizu Draws Attention at Geely Global Intelligent Mobility Expo, Showcasing AI Innovations

On April 25, 2025, Meizu took center stage at the Geely Global Intelligent Mobility Expo held in Hangzhou, where the company unveiled an impressive array of products that highlight its AI-integrated ecosystem. The expo, a key feature of Geely's promotion for the upcoming Auto Shanghai 2025 event, attracted over 400 guests, including media representatives and industry professionals. It provided a platform for Geely to showcase its achievements and intelligence mobility strategies.

Meizu's exhibition booth received a warm welcome as it presented advanced smartphones and AR smart glasses, capturing the attention of international journalists and attendees. Among the standout products were the StarV View and StarV Air2 smart glasses. These innovative devices are designed with unique features tailored for global markets. The StarV View, for instance, utilizes a BirdBath solution that offers users an immersive virtual screen equivalent to 188 inches from six meters away, allowing for an engaging entertainment experience on the move. Notably, it is also the only smart glasses in its price range that offers myopia adjustments from 0 to 600 degrees. This feature caught the eye of many at a recent launch event in Dubai, with attendees expressing a strong desire to purchase the device.

The StarV Air2 also garnered significant interest, particularly for its real-time translation capabilities. Attendees were fascinated as they witnessed Chinese presentations being translated into English, displayed directly on the glasses. This feature employs AI to enhance communication across language barriers and supports translation in 14 languages, assisting users during their travels in over 30 countries and regions. This technology not only aids in seamless communication but also includes functionalities such as teleprompting, AR navigation, meeting assistance, and real-time voice-to-text conversion for the hearing impaired. The functionality of these smart glasses has already documented over 390,000 hours of use, demonstrating their value in real-world applications.

During a workshop session, Meizu's product director, Peng Bo, delivered a speech titled 'Optimizing Smart Glasses, or How AI Fuels Innovation and Practical Applications.' He underscored the transformative role of AI-powered smart glasses, which extend human senses and integrate seamlessly into daily life. Peng envisions a future where smart glasses could evolve into personal computing terminals and AI interfaces, potentially generating a multi-hundred billion yuan market. Meizu is committed to innovating in the AR smart glasses sector, focusing on product performance and battery life while collaborating with a broader network of partners to enhance application scenarios.

The showcase at the event demonstrates Meizu's accelerating global expansion strategy. Understanding the need for localization, Meizu develops products that cater to the preferences of users from various regions, and this effort has received positive feedback internationally. With increased global presence, Meizu’s ecosystem products have found markets across the Asia-Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Europe. Vehicles equipped with Flyme Auto technology have also been exported to regions including the Middle East and Eastern Europe. This further establishes the appeal of Meizu's AI ecosystem that integrates people, vehicles, and homes.

As part of the DreamSmart Group, Meizu offers a range of products focused on intelligent technology, including smartphones, XR devices, and smart cars. DreamSmart is recognized for its prowess in creating interconnected smart ecosystems.

In 2025, Meizu's globalization strategy continues in partnership with Geely, organizing product launches and engagement events in various countries including Indonesia, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Vietnam, Australia, and the UAE. Looking ahead, Meizu plans to hold more than ten global product launches and create experiential eco-stores to showcase its diverse offerings, which include smartphones, vehicles, and smart glasses. Furthermore, Meizu aims to establish a high-end technology ecosystem brand in collaboration with Geely to export products, technologies, and ecosystems, enriching the global market with its integrated AI solutions. This commitment to innovation and collaboration suggests that Meizu is poised to make substantial inroads into international markets while showcasing the allure of its integrated AI ecosystem to a wider audience.
