Michael Piraino Joins Banyan Team
Banyan, a leader in utility management solutions tailored for the multifamily housing sector, has announced the exciting addition of Michael Piraino to their team as the Industry Principal. With over ten years of experience and a fervent passion for utility management, Michael is set to bring considerable knowledge and innovation to the role.
Larry Bellack, Banyan’s Chief Revenue Officer, expressed high hopes regarding Michael’s arrival. He believes that Michael's extensive background and enthusiasm for the utility management field will make him an invaluable asset to the team. According to Bellack, "Michael's deep understanding of client needs and his ability to craft strategic solutions align perfectly with our mission to lead the utility management space through innovation and excellence. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact he will make at Banyan and for our clients."
Starting his career in the multifamily sector back in 2013, Michael has garnered extensive experience in developing and executing energy and utility management strategies, addressing one of the most significant expenses faced by multifamily housing providers. His diverse background includes key roles at organizations like AUM, Apex Billing, and Entrata.
Michael shares, "I often joke that my first 'grown-up' job was in utility management. I fell in love with this sector and have continuously sought opportunities to expand my knowledge in this field. While utilities may not be the flashiest aspect of our industry, they are a vital element of multifamily operations. Assisting my clients with managing their third-largest expense has been incredibly rewarding for me. I genuinely enjoy exploring utility strategies and discovering innovative methods to create added value for my clients."
In addition to his primary responsibilities, Michael is actively engaged with both the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and the National Apartment Association (NAA). He contributes to various committees, demonstrating his commitment to the advancement of thought leadership within the industry.
Joining Banyan marks an exciting moment for Michael, particularly due to the company's transformative vision and innovative approach. "The utility landscape has evolved significantly over the past 5-7 years. Banyan's investments in their platform and visionary technology reflect their commitment to being the leading partner in utility management," he stated. "I am thrilled to be part of a team dedicated to excellence and innovation in our support of the multifamily sector."
Michael’s integration into the Banyan team underscores the organization’s dedication to providing unmatched expertise and solutions for its clientele. His insights into the industry and fervor for utility management will play a crucial role in enabling Banyan to continue its leadership and innovative edge in this essential market.
