Orthocell’s Remplir™ Device Aids War Victims in Ukraine
In a brave effort to support victims of war in Ukraine, Australian regenerative medicine company Orthocell Ltd has successfully extended the global reach of its FDA-cleared collagen medical device, Remplir™. This initiative is a part of a coordinated philanthropic drive to provide invaluable medical aid to those affected by the ongoing conflict.
Orthocell initially sent a humanitarian shipment of Remplir to Ukraine back in April 2025. This important delivery was made possible through collaboration with Professor Fiona Wood AO and defense surgeons from the UK who are involved in battlefield trauma management programs.
Recently, the company announced that additional Remplir devices are on their way to Ukraine, thanks to generous contributions from a group of Australian corporate donors. Organizations such as Wyllie Group, Andrew Forrest's Minderoo Foundation, and Bell Potter, among others, have agreed to secure 100 units at humanitarian pricing. Orthocell is further bolstering this effort with a donation of another 100 devices while the Ukraine Crisis Appeal has pledged AUD $10,000 to assist in these endeavors.
The urgent need for nerve repair technologies is underscored by the alarming estimates indicating that over 400,000 Ukrainians, including children, have suffered trauma-related injuries due to the conflict. This has created a significant demand for advanced reconstructive solutions, making the timely arrival of devices like Remplir incredibly vital for those in need.
The Ukraine Crisis Appeal is actively seeking donations to fund additional shipments of Remplir™ and other necessary medical supplies for war victims. Those who wish to contribute can visit
