Exciting Dialogue on Government AI Initiatives with Digital Agency Leaders

Online Seminar on Government AI

The upcoming online seminar hosted by the Japan DX Regional Revitalization Support Group will showcase a significant discussion between Yuta Ibaraki, the CEO of And-dot Co., and Shingo Yamaguchi, a senior official at Japan's Digital Agency. This event focuses on the future of municipal digital transformation (DX) and the expectations from both public and private sectors in this landscape. Scheduled on June 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM, this seminar promises to shed light on the pressing issues municipalities face and present innovative AI solutions.

Background of Government AI 'Genkai'

In light of the implementation of the AI Law, the Digital Agency has made its generative AI tool, 'Genkai,' available as a free open-source software (OSS). This marks a pivotal moment for local governments as they explore the integration of AI into their operations. With over 350 municipalities already supported in harnessing generative AI, this seminar seeks to leverage that experience to foster a deeper understanding of the potential challenges and solutions in the sector.
