YKK Set to Showcase Sustainable Innovations at FaW TOKYO 2025

YKK to Present at FaW TOKYO 2025

YKK Corporation, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is making its ninth appearance at the upcoming "FaW TOKYO (Fashion World Tokyo) Autumn 2025" exhibition. Scheduled to take place from October 1 to 3, this prominent fashion event is organized by RX Japan and will feature around 900 exhibitors from 20 countries, making it one of the largest fashion showcases in Japan.

With its ambitious sustainability goal named "YKK Sustainability Vision 2050," the company aims to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. This vision is built upon five key themes: climate, resources, water, chemicals, and human rights, with a commitment to advancing ten specific Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to each theme.

During the exhibition, YKK plans to highlight its eco-friendly products and technologies, focusing on its recycled PET fasteners under the brand name NATULON®. The display will include over 40 innovative items that emphasize environmental considerations and will also feature repairable products and those differentiated by functionality and design.

Highlights of YKK's Booth

YKK's booth will be a key destination for attendees interested in the circular economy. The showcased items will cater to various sectors, including apparel, bags, and footwear, and will blend functionality with aesthetic appeal. One of the booth's interactive features will allow visitors to experience the installation of VISLON® repairable elements, promoting the importance of product longevity and reuse.

Additionally, in the communication area, YKK will present its community website, "Connecting Club by YKK™," launched in May this year, alongside initiatives such as the "Orange Innovation Project." This platform aims to foster new value creation by connecting companies with users.

Special Sustainability Lecture by YKK

On October 2, YKK's Executive Officer and Head of the Sustainability Promotion Office, Asako Yoshioka, will give a special lecture titled "A Journey from Fasteners Towards a Decarbonized and Circular Future." This presentation will delve into YKK's initiatives to reduce Scope 3 emissions within the fashion industry and promote the transition to a circular economy.
