Fourth China International Supply Chain Expo Inaugurates New Era of Global Connectivity

The fourth edition of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) concluded on June 26, 2026, in Beijing, under the theme "Connecting the World for a Shared Future." This year's expo has marked a significant milestone with its record participation and a commitment to facilitating international cooperation within supply chains.

The event witnessed a remarkable turnout, featuring 676 exhibitors from 85 countries, including established supply-chain giants, innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and leading research institutions. Notably, approximately 36.5% of the exhibitors were from overseas, which significantly enhanced the international character of the event. Additionally, a significant portion of the exhibitors, about 65%, consisted of companies recognized within the Fortune 500, contributing to the event's global prominence.

Australia was honored as the guest country at this year's expo, while regions such as Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes from France and Liguria from Italy joined China's guest provinces, Anhui and Hainan. This collaboration encouraged valuable cross-regional exchanges and cooperation throughout the duration of the expo. Impressively, the event facilitated the participation of 223 overseas business delegations who engaged in onsite negotiations and discussions—a noteworthy increase of 29.7% compared to the previous edition.

The expo served as a platform for not only showcasing innovation but also for fostering relationships. In total, it attracted over 1,200 exhibitors and supply chain partners, making it the largest gathering in the history of CISCE. The overall professional attendance saw a boost of 22% from last year, with organizers holding 70 distinct business forums and evening networking events that drew significant engagement. Online engagement was noteworthy too, as the livestreams of various forums amassed over 62 million views cumulatively.

This year's event made waves with the launch of the "Digital and Intelligent CISCE" initiative. The former Digital Technology Chain exhibition transformed into the Digital and Intelligent Technology Chain, integrating a dedicated exhibition zone for artificial intelligence. At this expo, 161 new products, technologies, services, and applications made their debut—emphasizing the spirit of innovation that the expo sought to promote. Further, the event saw the release of the 2026 edition of the Global Supply Chain Promotion Report and an innovative Global Supply Chain Resilience Index Matrix, providing invaluable insights into the resilience of global supply chains.

Business activities were thriving, with exhibitors forming connections with approximately 43,000 upstream and downstream partner companies—surpassing last year’s figures. On the final morning of the expo alone, 115 companies and institutions, both domestic and international, signed letters of intent to participate in the fifth edition of CISCE. This early commitment represents a 12.7% increase year-on-year, with 20 of those firms committing to multi-year partnerships spanning three to five years.

The media coverage surrounding the CISCE was extensive, with more than 2,300 journalists from both Chinese and international media outlets accredited to cover the event—a notable increase of 21.5% from the previous year.

In conclusion, the fourth China International Supply Chain Expo has set a new standard for future expos, underlining the importance of international cooperation and innovation within the supply chain sector. As industries around the world look toward a collaborative future, this event serves as a testament to the potential of connected global networks. Attendees eagerly await the promises of the fifth CISCE as early interest burgeons and the countdown begins for its next installment in the ever-evolving landscape of global trade.
