Norway Hosts Europe's Largest NING SERVICE Experience Center by CATL

The Role of Technology in Service

The implementation of the "Eagle Eye" system, which has been adopted in over 150 repair centers, ensures comprehensive traceability and quality control during the service process. This commitment to quality and efficiency positions the NING SERVICE center as a transformative player in the battery service landscape.

A Showcase for Emerging Technologies

Beyond merely servicing existing vehicles, the Oslo center is also envisioned as a brand experience hub and a sales point for emerging electric applications, including marine vessels, electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, and robotic technologies. NING SERVICE has established itself as a key agent for ecosystem partners like AutoFlight and Galbot, driving forward innovative solutions in diverse sectors.

Sustainable Initiatives and Local Skills Development

In line with global sustainability goals, CATL has forged a partnership with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and launched the Global Energy Circularity Commitment (GECC). The NING SERVICE center is instrumental in creating an after-sales ecosystem aimed at prolonging battery life and recycling materials for the production of new batteries.

"In a circular economy, keeping batteries in use significantly preserves their value while allowing for the recovery of materials to manufacture new products," stated Miranda Schnitger, Head of Climate at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. This initiative also promises to generate skilled jobs within the green sector, with plans to establish the center as a principal training institute for NING SERVICE in the Nordic countries. By leveraging a training network spanning 39 European countries and boasting a team of 14 experienced instructors, the center is set to deliver CATL-certified courses and practical training opportunities for local technicians.

Enhancing Customer Service

With this strategic expansion, CATL aims to bolster its local presence through enhanced infrastructure and partnerships within the ecosystem. The Norwegian center will act as a pivotal node in the European NING SERVICE network, providing high-quality services closely aligned with customer needs. "CATL combines technology, industry experience, and a trusted brand with local knowledge and service capability through YES-EU. This partnership will help us to construct a more robust battery service ecosystem in the Nordics and support the sustainable growth of Europe’s electric vehicle market," explained Benedikt G. Gudmundsson, founder and president of YES-EU Group.

"At NING SERVICE, the customers are at the heart of everything we do. Working closely with local partners, we will deliver reliable services for battery lifecycle management that meet the needs of Norway's EV market and support its ongoing electrification," commented Bruce Li, President of Quality Systems for CATL’s Aftermarket Business Division.

As of now, NING SERVICE operates 1,394 service centers across 85 countries and regions. The ambitious goal is to reach 100 countries and regions by 2027 and expand to 10,000 service centers by 2030, ensuring that customer access to high-quality battery services continues to grow exponentially.
