As part of the fifth installment of the "Ryuichi Sakamoto Premium Collection," 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku will host a special listening event and screening on March 10, 2026. This event celebrates the debut vinyl release of the soundtrack for the film "Ichimei," which will begin its screenings on March 6.

The unique listening experience will take place in a state-of-the-art screening room featuring the specially crafted sound system, "SAION -SR EDITION-," overseen by the renowned composer Ryuichi Sakamoto himself. Attendees will have the opportunity to appreciate the intricacies of the "Ichimei" soundtrack via a professional-grade turntable, the "REVOX T‑77." The warmth and depth of the analog format will bring the film's emotionally charged soundscape to life.

Remembering the Events of March 11, 2011
Interestingly, March 11 marks the anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake. On this very day, Ryuichi Sakamoto was deeply immersed in the recording sessions for "Ichimei." The musical memories engraved on this date will resurface 15 years later through the remastered analog release, resonating with its original emotional intensity.

After the listening session, the film "Ichimei" will be screened to provide a comprehensive experience for attendees.

Tickets will be available for purchase online on the official 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku website starting from 00:00 on March 8, 2026. For members of the Cinema Points program, tickets will go on sale one day earlier, at 21:00 on March 7.
- Please note that if online tickets sell out, there may not be any available for purchase at the theater on the day of the event.*

On the 9th floor of the theater, the souvenir shop "POST CREDIT" will also be selling the original vinyl soundtrack for "Ichimei," with a release date of March 11, 2026, priced at ¥7,700.
