CCIAP Unveils Its 2026 Trade Show Portfolio
The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) has made a significant announcement regarding its planned international trade shows for 2026. Scheduled to take place from March 10 to March 12 at the Panama Convention Center in Amador, these five key events are set to play a pivotal role in enhancing the region's economic landscape. The trade shows will focus on vital sectors such as commerce, logistics, tourism, technology, and energy.
The announced trade fairs include:
- - EXPOCOMER
- - EXPO LOGÍSTICA PANAMÁ
- - EXPO TURISMO INTERNACIONAL
- - EXPO TECH
- - EXPO ELÉCTRICA INTERNACIONAL – PANAMÁ
These events aim to strengthen the competitiveness of local businesses, foster international partnerships, and facilitate access to new markets. Panama's strategic connectivity and modern infrastructure position it as a prime location for these gatherings.
Juan Arias, the President of CCIAP, expressed his confidence in Panama as an ideal destination for MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions). He remarked, "Panama has everything — location, connectivity, talent, diversity, legal security, and world-class infrastructure. Most importantly, we have a committed private sector dedicated to making things happen."
Aurelio Barría Pino, the President of the Commission Organizing International Exhibitions and Events 2026 at CCIAP, highlighted the economic impact of these trade shows. He reported that in 2025, the events attracted over 31,000 visitors, created 20,000 business appointments, and resulted in transactions worth $156 million, contributing to an economic spillover of $45 million for the country. These figures underscore the importance of these exhibitions not only in promoting key sectors but also in bolstering Panama's image as an effective business platform.
Additionally, it's worth noting that Panama will host the prestigious
World of Coffee from October 23 to 25, 2026. This key event will mark the first time it is held in a coffee-producing country in Latin America, further strengthening Panama's position on the global stage as a host for high-impact events.
