Celebrating 20 Years of the Global High-Dividend Fund
Mitsui Sumitomo DS Asset Management, located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, proudly announces that its Global High-Dividend Fund has celebrated its 20th anniversary as of July 22. This fund, established on July 22, 2005, aims to secure stable dividend income and achieve long-term capital appreciation by diversifying investments in high-dividend stocks from around the globe through its investment in the Global High-Dividend Master Fund.
What is the Global High-Dividend Fund?
The Global High-Dividend Fund, referred to as "the Fund," was originally launched as a monthly distribution-type fund and in October 2023, an annual settlement type was added to enhance investment options. The Fund focuses on companies with robust business models capable of delivering returns regardless of economic conditions. By investing in these well-established firms that consistently provide dividends, the Fund has successfully navigated through various economic and market conditions over the past two decades.
The guiding philosophy behind the Fund's strategy has been to select companies that not only pay dividends but are also poised for growth in emerging sectors. This approach has been instrumental in enhancing the return on investments and has allowed the Fund to maintain its operations to date.
Message from the Fund Management Team
The Global High-Dividend Fund is distinguished by its unique business model with high entry barriers, which supports long-term sustainability and growth. The investment strategy employs a conservative indicator of "dividend yield" to meticulously select excellent companies that have demonstrated the ability to grow over extended periods.
This prudent selection approach has resulted in stable operational performance over the long term, earning the Fund multiple accolades from investment evaluation institutions. Beneficiaries appreciate the ability to receive regular distributions while engaging in long-term stock investments, which reinforces the Fund's reputation in the market.
As we move forward, the management team is committed to maintaining a consistent investment strategy that responds to the evolving market landscape, ensuring that we continue to earn the trust of our clients. We deeply appreciate the ongoing support from our investors and look forward to contributing to their asset growth.
