Kamameshi Startup Wins Grand Prize at NIKKEI THE PITCH Growth 2025-2026

Kamameshi's Remarkable Achievement

In a significant development for the manufacturing industry, Kamameshi, a startup borne from Nippon Steel, has announced its triumph at the prestigious NIKKEI THE PITCH GROWTH 2025-2026 competition, clinching both the Grand Prize and the Audience Award. This recognition not only highlights the potential of Kamameshi’s innovative solutions but also positions it prominently within the landscape of Japanese manufacturing.

Founded in Tokyo’s Ota Ward, Kamameshi offers a parts management and matching platform tailored to small and medium-sized manufacturing businesses. The competition, hosted by The Nikkei, is recognized as one of the largest pitch contests aimed at supporting startups and successor ventures in Japan. Participants are evaluated based on various criteria, including uniqueness, market potential, growth capability, social impact, profitability, and the charisma of their management teams.

This year, the contest attracted over 400 submissions nationwide, with 22 finalists making it to the deciding round held at the Kudan Kaikan Terrace on March 8, 2026. Kamameshi’s double victory serves as a catalyst for its future development, emphasizing its commitment to supporting Japanese manufacturing.
