Spruce Peak's Annual Culinary Event Returns: A Taste of New England

Spruce Peak, the luxury slopeside community in Stowe, Vermont, is set to host its much-anticipated culinary experience, "A Taste of New England," from August 14 to 16, 2025. In partnership with The Lodge at Spruce Peak and media ally Yankee Magazine, this event promises a delightful blend of food, wine, and networking among culinary enthusiasts.

This celebration showcases some of the most acclaimed chefs from the New England region, presenting an opportunity for guests to indulge in curated dinners paired with world-class wines, notably featuring wine from Domaine Bousquet. Attendees can expect not only Vermont-centric dishes but also a collaborative dining experience featuring the innovative talents of local chefs.

The event kicks off on Thursday evening, August 14, with a special dinner titled "A Taste of Vermont" at the Tipsy Trout restaurant in The Lodge at Spruce Peak. This five-course dinner, crafted by Executive Chef Sean Blomgren alongside prominent Vermont chefs including Robert Smith, Cara Tobin, and Justin Dain, invites guests to explore a unique selection of locally sourced cuisine.

On Friday, August 15, guests will participate in "First Taste," where a selection of small plates will be served, complemented by expertly paired wines from Vermont Wine Merchants. This exciting evening will feature an array of culinary stars including Spruce Peak's own Executive Chef Sean Blomgren, as well as chefs from various New England states, ensuring a diverse and flavorful experience.

The weekend culminates on Saturday, August 16, with an exceptional Chef Collaboration Dinner, starting with a cocktail reception followed by a feast featuring collaborative dishes from a talented lineup of chefs: Damon Sawyer (Connecticut), Evan Hennessey (New Hampshire), Ben Sukle (Rhode Island), Colin Lynch (Massachusetts), and Ilma Lopez (Maine). Each dish promises to reflect the essence of New England’s agricultural diversity, skillfully paired with an array of wines to enhance the flavors.

Since its inception in 2019, A Taste of New England has evolved to celebrate the culinary arts and resources provided by the rich landscapes of the region. This year, Kendal Daiger, Vice President of Marketing at Spruce Peak, expressed gratitude for the event's growth and the opportunity to collaborate with new chefs while introducing fresh experiences like the "Taste of Vermont" dinner.
