New Chapter for Shoyoenso Ryokan
10pct. Corporation, based in Minato-ku, Tokyo, has officially begun operations at the historic
Shoyoenso Ryokan, located in
Yunohana Onsen, Kyoto, since September 11, 2025. The ryokan, originally established over 60 years ago, has long been cherished for its tranquil nature and heartfelt hospitality, attracting visitors from various generations.

Background of the Operation
Yunohana Onsen is renowned for its beautiful seasonal landscapes, which have soothed both the minds and bodies of visitors for centuries. The strategic partnership between 10pct. Corporation and
Fundcloud Holdings, which manages the ryokan, marks a significant milestone in the ongoing evolution of Shoyoenso. By emphasizing a guest experience that is both relaxing and engaging, the ryokan aspires to become an essential stopover for anyone exploring Kyoto.
10pct. Corporation is committed to comprehensively understanding and inheriting the warm hospitality tradition upheld by Shoyoenso for decades. With a strong focus on leveraging their unique systems and data-driven hotel management expertise, they aim to attract a broader audience and deepen appreciation for the ryokan's offerings.
Future Vision
According to CEO
Tomoyuki Nakabori of 10pct. Corporation, Kyoto stands out as a global tourist destination but faces challenges, such as overtourism concentrated in areas like Shijo and Gion. “Tourism is both a resource and an issue to be addressed,” he notes, stressing the necessity of diversifying visitor experiences throughout Kyoto. By launching Shoyoenso as a new destination in
Kameoka, only 30 minutes away from central Kyoto via the JR Sanin Main Line, they intend to add depth to the destination and encourage visitors to explore not just iconic sites but also the lesser-known charms of the region.
The goal is to create an enriching experience that showcases the lush nature, local food, and vibrant culture of Kameoka, enhancing the appeal of Kyoto. “We believe this approach will contribute to alleviating congestion and expanding the allure of Kyoto as a long-lasting tourist site,” Nakabori conveys.
Makoto Ohashi, also part of 10pct. Corporation, expressed his excitement to participate in revitalizing Shoyoenso. “We are committed to preserving the charm that has attracted many guests over the years while ensuring all visitors enjoy their stay.”
