Nationwide Expansion of KinderCinch Early Literacy Program
The Traveling Saleslady®, a successful initiative founded by Deanna L. Vigliotta, recently partnered with JJV Affiliates, directed by Jan Kielec, to expand the KinderCinch™ Early Literacy Program across the United States. This innovative program aims to deliver inclusive and engaging literacy experiences for preschool and kindergarten students.
The origins of KinderCinch™ are quite unique and rooted in personal experience. Deanna Vigliotta's adventure began with an unexpected encounter with bedbugs during her travels. Instead of viewing this incident negatively, she turned it into an inspiring story, authoring
The Traveling Saleslady Meets Live Bedbugs and later
Bedbug in a Mug When Mom's Away. These narratives not only focus on amusing tales but also teach essential values like resilience, empathy, and familial connections.
Now, KinderCinch™ aims to bring Deanna's heartwarming story to classrooms, enticing young learners through creative and interactive learning materials. Each student enrolled in the program receives a custom literacy kit, which contains a paperback copy of
Bedbug in a Mug When Mom's Away, a soft Bedbug plush toy, a word search puzzle, themed magnets, stickers, and a cinch sack featuring Bedbug. Students engage in name-assigning and coloring their cinch sacks, fostering a sense of ownership and excitement about reading.
One of the key features of KinderCinch™ is its commitment to inclusivity. Every child in the classroom receives identical kits to ensure equal participation, creating a shared experience that strengthens community and belonging among students. Moreover, teachers receive structured discussion guides, aiding in the conversation about varying family roles, the importance of empathy, and exploring intergenerational relationships through the story's grandmother character.
Deanna, while also holding the position of National Sales Manager for TZMO USA, Inc., acknowledges the necessity for a strategic ally to help elevate KinderCinch™ to a national scale. “I remain devoted to my career with TZMO USA, Inc.,” she stated, emphasizing the need for trusted collaboration. Jan Kielec’s operational and sponsorship expertise was pivotal in aiding the program's growth.
Kielec echoed this sentiment, recognizing the inclusive essence of KinderCinch™ as a major motivating factor for their partnership. “Every student participating is a core component of this program,” he pointed out. “That mutual experience nurtures confidence and enthusiasm around reading.”
Before its national rollout, the program underwent a pilot phase in collaboration with Junior Achievement Orange County/Inland Empire. To further support educational programs, The Traveling Saleslady has committed to donating $1 from each sold book to Junior Achievement initiatives across these regions.
With plans for additional classroom partnerships and corporate sponsorships underway, KinderCinch™ is set to revolutionize early literacy engagement across the nation. For more insights or to participate in the program, visit
