Kuradashi Pitch Award 2025
On November 28, 2025, the Kuradashi Pitch Award will take place, highlighting the innovative ideas presented by students who participated in the social contribution internship program named ‘Kuradashi Challenge’. This event aims to address community issues and promote sustainable solutions across Japan.
Overview of the Event
The Kuradashi Pitch Award showcases the final reports and pitch contests by students involved in local projects in either one or two regions across Japan. Throughout the program, these students have engaged in activities focused on reducing food loss, enhancing local attractions, and alleviating the shortage of labor in primary industries.
During the pitch contest, participants will present proposals derived from their experiences, which encompass knowledge gained and emotions felt during their time working in the communities. Attendees will have the opportunity to vote alongside judges to determine the 'Most Desirable Initiative' from the pitches presented, ensuring the continued focus is not just on ideas but their feasibility and implementation.
The event represents a culmination of efforts by students dedicated to making a lasting impact within their communities. It encourages ongoing collaboration post-program among students, local municipalities, and businesses, promoting sustained partnerships aimed at revitalizing local regions and reducing food waste.

Recap from Last Year
Last year marked the inaugural event for the Kuradashi Pitch Award 2024, where participants shared their community engagement reports, proposals, and built connections with regional stakeholders. This interaction sparked further development of ideas and collaborations that benefitted local initiatives.
Continuing the Legacy
As we approach the 2025 Pitch Award, we anticipate a vigorous exchange between participants to create new partnerships across academia, industry, and government sectors. The objective remains clear: to foster practical regional revitalization and significantly contribute to reducing food waste.
