Shibuya is gearing up for an unforgettable music extravaganza with the second edition lineup reveal for the much-anticipated event, AVYSS Circle 2026. This vibrant music festival is set to take place on January 23, 2026, at CLUB QUATTRO along with four additional venues across the bustling district of Shibuya. The event marks the largest iteration of the AVYSS Circle yet, spanning five venues and seven floors, showcasing a diverse range of musical talent from various genres.

From Local to Global
The latest lineup addition boasts four innovative acts, including the recently successful No Buses, the dynamic rapper killwiz known for his work with Dr.Anon, and the hip-hop crew KOCHIKESA led by the talented Ryunoshin Saiki. Also joining the festival is the DRIFT CREW, comprised of employees from the Aoyama-based restaurant DRIFT. This newly announced talent promises to elevate the event's energetic atmosphere further!

The visual elements of the upcoming event are crafted by the talented QINGYI, a Chinese illustrator known for her artistic collaborations, including the album cover for popular music group YOASOBI. The layout design is credited to naka renya, ensuring a contemporary flair throughout the event's branding.

An Expansive Music Journey
The AVYSS Circle isn’t just a festival; it’s a musical journey that transcends genres and cultural boundaries. Previous editions were held in 2022 and 2024 in Shimokitazawa, and this year's return to Shibuya signifies a notable rebirth of the event after a year and a half hiatus. The festival will feature performances from both Japanese local artists and international acts, bringing together unique sounds.

Artists set to perform include Oli XL from Sweden, daine from Australia, and the South Korean talents Effie and iiso. Oli XL builds on his reputation with the cult classic album Rogue Intruder, Soul Enhancer and is expected to stun audiences with new multi-part series music. Meanwhile, daine has made waves collaborating with artists like Oliver Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon. Effie is poised to lead the South Korean hip-hop scene with her eclectic blending of genres like K-POP, drill, and alternative rock. iiso, characterized by her unique blend of Y2K culture, pushes the envelope of alternative K-POP.

As these renowned artists and dynamic acts take the stage, attendees can look forward to rotating performances from DJs and live acts, ensuring an exhilarating experience. Additionally, the SUPER DOMMUNE within Shibuya PARCO will offer live streaming of the performances. A panel discussion, titled “Can the Internet Be Underground in an Era Where Everything Turns into Memes?” featuring notable speakers, will provide an intellectual twist to the festival's offerings.

Fashion and Creativity Unite
On the upper level of PBOX at Shibuya PARCO, a live recording of the popular fashion podcast AfterParty will feature guest Tsuya-chan, highlighting the potential of the AVYSS scene's expansion. Unique collaborations with fashion brands BALMUNG, chloma, and GB MOUTH are also set to be unveiled during the event, showcasing fashion's integration with music culture.

Moreover, festival-goers can participate in the competitive AVYSS Cup hosted at WWWβ, where participants will compete based on audience excitement revolving around the theme of “energy,” with the winner determined by crowd applause.

The founder, Nobuyuki Sakuma, envisions AVYSS Circle as a small local initiative steadily expanding outward. He believes that the intersection of geography and culture, alongside music, will forge connections between local and global identities, real and virtual experiences.
