Korea Innovation Foundation Chooses LEEBIO and AirLab for North America Tech Program

Korea Innovation Foundation Chooses Innovative Bio Health Companies

The Korea Innovation Foundation (INNOPOLIS) made headlines as it selected two groundbreaking companies for its Global Technology Commercialization Support Program targeting North America. This initiative is significant for companies in the fields of machinery, energy, AI/IoT, and bio health, aiming to assist them in introducing their technologies to foreign markets and facilitate on-site commercialization.

Selected Companies

The two companies highlighted for the program were LEEBIO and AirLab:

LEEBIO – AI-Driven Water Quality Tester

LEEBIO's flagship device, the AQUAL Pro S, has gained significant attention. The smart water management system recently clinched the Digital Healthcare Innovation Award at CES 2026. This innovative technology leverages AI predictive prevention to assess historical and regional water quality data, enabling prompt action against potential contamination.

The real advancement lies in its ability to link water quality metrics with personal health insights. Users can receive customized hydration advice, alerts for filter changes, and comprehensive health reports, positioning water monitoring as an essential aspect of daily wellness. The AQUAL Pro S measures over 20 different water quality indicators, including turbidity, total dissolved solids (TDS), and bacterial content, providing results on-demand via a screen or mobile application. This advancement has significantly decreased bacterial detection times from the conventional 48 hours to around 12 hours, substantially benefiting sectors such as food service and water treatment.

At CES 2026, LEEBIO showcased this technology at the K-water Pavilion, underscoring its role in establishing new benchmarks for intelligent water quality management. A company spokesperson highlighted this award as a pivotal achievement, further asserting their commitment to leading the global WaterTech industry.

AirLab – Nose Mask Nose Air Clean

As respiratory issues, particularly pollen allergies, become more pressing, AirLab introduced its innovative device, the Nose Mask Nose Air Clean. This gadget stands out for providing intranasal filtration that helps users breathe clean air effortlessly. The mask is designed with a unique woven filter created from hanji, traditional Korean paper, effectively blocking up to 70% of PM2.5 particles, 30-45% of vehicle exhaust, and an impressive 99.9% of harmful bacteria, including COVID-19.

What sets this filter apart is its ergonomic design and sustainable aspects: it features a reusable frame with replaceable filters, making it both cost-effective and eco-friendly. Infused with peppermint for added comfort, the Nose Mask promotes a pleasant breathing experience for a broad audience, regardless of sensitivities. Supporting this innovation is patented 3mm automatic weaving technology, already recognized in Korea, Japan, the U.S., and China.

The Nose Mask Nose Air Clean aims to significantly enhance users' lives by providing effective protection from pollution and allergens, thus contributing to healthier lifestyles worldwide.
