Flexential's Strategic Acquisition in Hillsboro, Oregon

Flexential, a prominent player in the realm of secure data center solutions, has made a significant strategic move by acquiring two major data center properties in Hillsboro, Oregon. This deal marks the largest real estate transaction in the company's history and underscores its commitment to fortifying its operations in one of the most competitive data center markets in the United States.

Located just 15 miles west of Portland, these facilities place Flexential in a prime position within the nation's seventh-largest data center market. As the demand for data storage and computing capabilities continues to rise, owning these properties enables Flexential to pivot from a leasing model to long-term investments, effectively catering to enterprise, cloud, and AI customers through its innovative FlexAnywhere® platform.

Ryan Mallory, CEO of Flexential, emphasized the significance of this acquisition in demonstrating the company’s dedication to its customers and the Hillsboro community. "This transaction proves to customers that we're going to be there for the long term and that we will invest in the facility to meet their needs now and into the future," he stated. The acquisition not only strengthens Flexential’s operational control but also boosts the company’s capacity to meet growing regional demands.

This acquisition continues a strategic trend for Flexential; last year, the company acquired its Douglasville 2 and Norcross facilities to complete its footprint in the Atlanta market. In addition to the new Hillsboro facilities, Flexential is also set to unveil Hillsboro 6, further expanding its footprint in the region. Additionally, the company has plans to open a new facility in Parker, Colorado, and recently secured land for a second data center in Norcross, Georgia. The ongoing expansion reflects the growing need for robust data centers as businesses increasingly recognize the importance of reliable, scalable IT solutions.

Organizations looking for data center capabilities along the Pacific Northwest or in other key U.S. markets are encouraged to explore the full spectrum of Flexential's facilities and comprehensive services.
