TricorBraun Expands European Presence with Euroglas and Glaspack Acquisition
In a strategic move to strengthen its foothold in Europe, TricorBraun has successfully finalized the acquisition of Euroglas and Glaspack, two well-established companies in the rigid packaging sector. Euroglas, headquartered in Germany, and Glaspack, based in Austria, are known for their high-quality packaging solutions primarily tailored for food, beverage, and liquor markets. This acquisition marks a significant step for TricorBraun in solidifying its presence in the DACH region, which comprises Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Mark O'Bryan, the Chief Operating Officer of TricorBraun, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming the teams from Euroglas and Glaspack into the TricorBraun family. He stated, "We are excited to expand our European footprint and welcome two companies renowned for their quality packaging and exceptional customer service. We have great respect for the teams at Euroglas and Glaspack, and we look forward to working closely with them to drive growth for our customers throughout Europe."
Founded in 1992, Euroglas has positioned itself as a leading supplier of high-quality glass packaging across Europe. It offers a diverse range of standard and custom packaging solutions catering to various sectors, including food and beverages. On the other hand, Glaspack has also made a name for itself by providing tailored packaging solutions for the wine, beer, and food sectors, and is recognized as a leading supplier of wine packaging in the Austrian market.
Cristoph Jäckle, General Manager of Euroglas, highlighted the excitement surrounding the merger, stating, "We look forward to joining a global leader in packaging that is deeply committed to the European market. This new chapter in our journey will expand our reach and service capabilities, providing more comprehensive packaging options for our customers."
Johannes Jäckle, Sales Director at Glaspack, reiterated the partnership's potential, emphasizing, "Partnering with TricorBraun enables us to connect with a coalition of European entrepreneurs. We can merge our passion for packaging with the global presence of TricorBraun to achieve optimal outcomes for our clients."
Despite the strategic importance of this acquisition, the financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. The transaction was facilitated by Proventis Partners, a member of Mergers Alliance acting as financial advisor, while Linklaters served as legal counsel for TricorBraun.
