Bringing Together Dogs and Humans at A Letter to Dogs Resort in Izu Kogen

Embracing Togetherness at A Letter to Dogs Izukogen

In an exciting development for dog lovers, GREENING Co., Ltd., based in Shibuya, Tokyo, is set to open "A Letter to Dogs Izukogen," a dog resort and community brand, in Spring 2027. Located in the dog-friendly area of Izu Kogen, Shizuoka Prefecture, this hotel is designed as an 'animal symbiosis-type hotel' for both dogs and their owners, marking it as the first of its kind for the "A Letter to Dogs" brand.

The Vision Behind A Letter to Dogs

Dogs may not communicate with words, but their sparkling eyes and wagging tails speak volumes. This silent connection inspires us to ponder an important question: “Is there a place where we can authentically express what we wish to convey, even when words fail us?” The concept of A Letter to Dogs was born from this query—a brand that seeks to connect humans and dogs as if delivering a heartfelt message through a letter.

In a time when the pet-related market is expanding and more accommodations allow dogs, A Letter to Dogs aims to transcend the conventional pet-friendly notion. Rather than being mere companions permitted to stay, dogs will be celebrated for their innate qualities and instincts. The resort will offer enriching experiences for both parties, fostering a setting where humans and dogs can share joy on equal terms. Recognizing that a dog's time with us is fleeting, our mission is to make every moment together profoundly fulfilling.

Through quality time and joyous experiences shared between dogs and humans, we hope to create a cherished environment. Our goal is to epitomize the ideologies of coexistence and mutual happiness, pursuing true richness in a resort setting where humans and animals thrive together.

Leveraging their expertise in the culinary sector through their signature brands like GARDEN HOUSE and the exclusive BIRD HOTEL in Kamakura, GREENING aims to craft memorable experiences for guests who travel with their canine companions. Additionally, they plan to establish a non-profit organization to address challenges related to animal coexistence, funding animal protection efforts with part of their revenue.

Details About the Izu Kogen Hotel Opening

A Letter to Dogs Izukogen is set to make a splash in the resort sector, taking advantage of its location in Izu Kogen, which boasts more than 300 dog-friendly leisure and dining establishments. This area has spent years cultivating an environment where dogs and humans coexist harmoniously amid the natural beauty of mountains, forests, and the sea—making it the perfect backdrop for our brand.

Hotel Features and Design

Inspired by colonial architecture, A Letter to Dogs Izukogen combines quality materials with designs that afford both dogs and humans a relaxing stay.
