Ryō Wakasugi Reveals the Secrets of Captivating Visuals" will take place on January 10th. Renowned layout artist Ryō Wakasugi, who currently works with Walt Disney Animation Studios, will be sharing invaluable insights from the world of contemporary animation and visual storytelling.

This event is tailored for individuals aiming to transition into the CG and visual effects industry by 2026. Attendees will gain access to:

1. Making-of Stories of Latest Films: In the first part of the session, Wakasugi will delve into the intricate details behind recent blockbuster films. This will include discussions on composition, camera techniques, and the art of visual storytelling that captivates audiences worldwide.

2. CG Learning Insights and Q&A Session: The second segment will offer real-world advice based on Wakasugi's personal experiences in the industry. This intimate gathering, limited to just 28 participants, allows for direct interaction in a conversational format, where attendees can pose questions and gain insights about building a career overseas, effective training methods, and more.

About the Speaker



Ryō Wakasugi


A prominent layout artist with a rich background in animation, Ryō Wakasugi graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2012. He began his career at Pixar Animation Studios as a CG animator, and now excels at Walt Disney Animation Studios. His notable works include popular titles such as Angry Birds, Smurfs: The Lost Village, Smallfoot, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
