Arcfield Secures $117 Million Contract with the U.S. Navy

Arcfield, a prominent government services provider known for mission support, has recently announced a significant contract award valued at $117 million. This contract marks a continuation of Arcfield’s longstanding partnership with the U.S. Navy to assist in the enhancement and sustainment of the Trident II D5 Life Extension (D5LE) strategic weapon system (SWS). The agreement comprises a one-year base period with the possibility of extending for two additional years.

The efforts under this contract will see Arcfield providing a spectrum of services, including independent scientific analysis, digital engineering, systems engineering, and operational support specifically tailored for the Trident II D5LE SWS. The focus will be on integrating advanced digital engineering tools to propel innovation within the Navy, particularly in critical areas such as hypersonic flight, materials testing, and thorough assessments concerning radiation and structural integrity.

Moreover, Arcfield intends to harness its extensive modeling, simulation, and analysis capabilities to conduct vulnerability assessments of the Navy's strategic weapon systems. This is crucial for ensuring that the U.S. retains the safety, security, and reliability of its vital sea-based strategic deterrents. The initiative also involves refurbishing submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs), ensuring they maintain operational efficiency and extending their effective lifespan, while also evaluating system performances across different environmental challenges.
