Huawei Unveils Innovative RAMS-Based ISP Business White Paper at MWC 2025
At the recently held Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, Huawei took a significant step in advancing the ISP sector by releasing its groundbreaking white paper on ISP business success driven by RAMS—an acronym representing Return on Investment, Availability, Maintenance, and Security. In addition to the white paper, the launch of the GIGA+ global online store in Brazil marks a pivotal move towards fostering sustainable and efficient development within the ISP and cloud service provider sectors.
York Yue, Huawei's Vice President and President of the ISP Business Unit, emphasized the growing demand for real-time cloud-device synergy as technologies like ChatGPT and DeepSeek become widely adopted. In response, Huawei is collaborating with customers and partners to design an intelligent RAMS architecture aimed at providing a swift and stable resource framework encompassing network pipelines, storage, and data centers. By adopting this architecture, ISPs and CSPs (Cloud Service Providers) can enhance service efficiency and generate better financial returns.
The Significance of RAMS Architecture
As digital transformation continues to reshape the industry, ISPs face the dual challenge of constructing high-quality digital networks while minimizing costs. Huawei’s tailored RAMS architecture addresses these challenges by accelerating ISPs' monetization of coverage, bandwidth, and user experience, thus contributing to a more efficient service delivery model. Huang Dachuan, CTO of Huawei's ICT Marketing and Solution Sales Department, elaborated on the RAMS architecture’s technical strengths, which include a smart platform layer, an evolutionary support layer, a flexible access layer, and a secure service layer. This comprehensive framework allows ISPs to build scalable and manageable intelligent networks, minimizing investment risk and fostering business innovation.
The white paper provides a forward-looking outline of the RAMS architecture customized to meet business needs, along with technical guidance and benchmark standards to help ISPs achieve sustainable success.
GIGA+: A New Era for Brazilian ISPs
In collaboration with GIGA+ in Brazil, Huawei launched an online store dedicated to home broadband and enterprise network scenarios, integrating cloud, network, and artificial intelligence technologies. This platform aims to create fast, stable smart networks by showcasing the effectiveness and value of Huawei's all-optical home broadband access networks, optical unified transport networks, and smart network operations and maintenance solutions in both residential and commercial environments.
This initiative not only serves to provide valuable insights and practical models to ISPs but also demonstrates Huawei’s unwavering commitment to encouraging innovation and investment in the ISP/CSP sector. To date, Huawei has provided leading products, solutions, and services to over 5,000 ISP customers across more than 120 countries and regions, fostering partnerships for a smarter future in the industry.
