Enhancements at the 139th Canton Fair: A Gateway to Global Trade
The 139th China Import and Export Fair, commonly known as the Canton Fair, opened recently and is scheduled to run until May 5, 2026. This year’s event marks a significant step forward in terms of services offered to buyers, facilitating greater efficiency and long-term global partnerships.
The Canton Fair has long served as a vital link between international demand and China’s manufacturing capabilities. This year, it aims to further strengthen this connection by upgrading buyer services, creating a dynamic environment for transactions.
A Dynamic Experience for Buyers
The fair has optimized the buyer experience through various innovative initiatives. For instance, the introduction of autonomous delivery services has caught the attention of international attendees. A Saudi buyer expressed excitement over trying this technology for the first time, while an Egyptian buyer went straight to the CF Award exhibition area, eager to explore the latest innovations on display.
For buyers from the Middle East, the event provided an immersive virtual tour facilitated by Arabic live streaming, significantly enhancing engagement. This combination of online and in-person experiences clearly showcased the strong momentum of both supply and demand at the fair.
To cater to the evolving needs of specialized buyers, the Canton Fair has launched a comprehensive set of improved services. A key highlight is the establishment of integrated buyer service centers. These seven centers cover various areas of the fair, offering full assistance and support across the entire trade chain under a unified service framework.
Streamlined Registration and Services
International buyers attending one of the largest trade fairs globally benefit from a centralized model that streamlines their experience, covering everything from pre-registration and arrival to credential collection, business partner searches, negotiations, and post-fair services. In addition to the fairgrounds, 70 external service points and 628 assistance desks have been set up in airports, hotels, and other locations. This allows international attendees to scan their passports and receive credentials efficiently—within just 30 seconds—ensuring seamless assistance.
Moreover, a new initiative introduces a 'veteran buyer' tag—an exclusive identifier for frequent attendees. Once recognized as loyal participants, these buyers are automatically offered personalized benefits such as special coupons and tailored product recommendations. This program not only acknowledges their loyalty but also aims to cultivate deeper relationships with the Canton Fair.
Emphasizing Digital Tools
Digital tools have been pivotal in enhancing shopping efficiency. The Canton Fair has recently launched an exclusive newsletter, which is distributed to over 810,000 buyers through a segmented approach, strengthening targeted communication. Furthermore, the improved Canton Fair app offers comprehensive support throughout the sourcing process, allowing for a smoother transition from discovery to negotiation and long-term cooperation.
A Reinforced Role in Global Trade
In essence, the 139th Canton Fair continues to play an instrumental role as a bridge between global demand and China's innovative manufacturing capabilities. Through a series of service enhancements, the fair not only elevates its professionalism but also adapts to the ever-evolving global business landscape, fostering stable, long-term commercial relationships.
