GracoRoberts Expands Its Reach in Latin America with Sky Mart Acquisition

On January 15, 2026, GracoRoberts announced a significant step towards expanding its operations in the Latin American market by acquiring Sky Mart, a well-regarded supplier of aerospace chemicals, lubricants, and specialty fluids. This acquisition aims to leverage the company’s Miami headquarters as a strategic gateway to the lucrative Latin American aerospace sector, valued at approximately $6.5 billion in the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) market.

This strategic move by GracoRoberts is poised to not only enhance its market presence but also significantly scale its Aircraft on Ground (AOG) capabilities. With an expanded array of in-stock lubricants, GracoRoberts solidifies its position as a leading distributor in the aerospace specialty chemical sector. The addition of Sky Mart's technical sales coverage across Latin America, the Caribbean, and select areas in the United States means that customers will now have improved access to a broader range of aerospace products.

Sky Mart’s existing operations include fulfillment centers in Miami, Florida; San Antonio, Texas; and Indianapolis, Indiana, which will add a combined space of 42,000 square feet to GracoRoberts' logistical framework. With enhanced stocking capabilities for critical products such as oils, greases, and fluids, GracoRoberts is well-positioned to meet the demands of its aerospace clients.

Jason Caldwell, President and CEO of GracoRoberts, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome the team from Sky Mart into the GracoRoberts family. This partnership will enhance our capacity to serve the global aerospace community, particularly in crucial markets like Latin America and Miami. Our combined strength will lead to faster and more reliable service, which is essential in our industry."

Sky Mart, founded in 1985 by industry veterans Gregorio and Lucy Robbin, has built a solid reputation over its four-decade history by adhering to its core philosophy: providing the right products with exceptional service while ensuring customer satisfaction. Co-Founder and President Juan Gregorio Robbin highlighted that this merger will allow Sky Mart to deliver even greater value to its clients.

Ana Maria Robbin, Co-Owner and Executive Vice President of Sky Mart, reflected on the emotional and historical significance of the acquisition. She emphasized the dedication of her family's business culture, stating, "Our parents instilled in us a vision, determination, and a spirit of service. Joining GracoRoberts aligns with our values and allows us to uphold our legacy while continuing to serve our customers with the highest quality."

The integration will be a collaborative effort as both companies commit to maintain a seamless transition that respects their respective cultures and ensures uninterrupted service to their clients. This synergy is especially crucial as it aims to fortify the customer experience through enhanced product offerings and a robust e-commerce platform.

The acquisition is supported by CM Equity Partners, GracoRoberts' private equity partner. This partnership has been instrumental in helping GracoRoberts expand its global footprint steadily while implementing a digital growth strategy that has included six acquisitions in the last seven years.

GracoRoberts' dedication to being the fastest and most technically focused distributor in the aerospace market is clear, and with the integration of Sky Mart, it is set to enhance its operational capabilities significantly.

Continuing its established path of strategic growth, GracoRoberts aims to exceed customer expectations in an increasingly competitive aerospace market. This acquisition not only fortifies its logistical advantages but also solidifies its commitment to quality, service, and customer satisfaction, all under the umbrella of a robust family-friendly business ethos.
