BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments Joins hlpy's Shareholding Structure
hlpy, the innovative Italian scale-up transforming vehicle assistance and mobility in Europe, recently announced a significant milestone in its journey. The company successfully raised 20 million euros in a new funding round and completed the acquisition of Carvoilà, a firm specializing in vehicle transport and logistics services. This strategic move has attracted BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments (BBEI), a division of BNP Paribas Group focused on investing in small and medium-sized Italian enterprises, into hlpy's shareholder structure.
The infusion of capital coupled with the acquisition of Carvoilà plays a pivotal role in hlpy’s growth strategy, aimed at expanding its service offerings across the automotive value chain and strengthening its position as a pan-European orchestrator of vehicle services. Valerio Chiaronzi, the CEO of hlpy, expressed enthusiasm about this development, stating that their platform is evolving to support vehicles comprehensively throughout both pre-sale and post-sale service processes. This includes everything from assistance to repair, maintenance, and logistics, leveraging technology, data, and operational networks.
“Thanks to this new financing and the entry of BBEI into our equity structure, we are ready to accelerate both organic growth and the pace of acquisitions,” Chiaronzi added, highlighting the increased confidence in hlpy’s business model.
The integration of Carvoilà is expected to yield synergies that enhance operational efficiency while allowing hlpy to move closer to its goal of achieving 100 million euros in recurring revenue by 2027. The acquisition is a significant step for hlpy, which has now raised a total of 45 million euros since its inception in 2020 and marks its second acquisition in just six years of operation.
Francesca Vidali and Michela Conti, founders of Carvoilà, will join the hlpy group and continue to expand the business model together. Vidali expressed her excitement about joining hlpy, emphasizing Carvoilà's mission to innovate and improve efficiency in vehicle logistics, reshaping the travel experience.
BBEI's CEO, Lorenzo Langella, remarked on the investment's alignment with BBEI's commitment to nurturing strategic partnerships with dynamic, visionary entrepreneurial companies making impactful contributions to their sectors. He noted that their venture resonates with the shared mission of driving innovation within the industry.
As the automotive landscape evolves, hlpy's digital platform powered by artificial intelligence equips it to establish a cohesive service ecosystem. This ecosystem connects technology, data, and specialized expertise, enabling seamless transitions throughout the entire supply chain for automotive services.
With the addition of Carvoilà's expertise and the backing of BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments, hlpy is poised to redefine mobility assistance and logistics in Europe. The company effectively positions itself at the forefront of an increasingly competitive space, armed with vital resources and strategic partnerships that bolster its service offerings and market reach.
As hlpy looks to the future, it remains committed to its mission of transforming vehicle assistance through technological innovation and superior service delivery, ensuring that it meets the evolving needs of consumers and businesses alike. This latest phase in hlpy's growth trajectory signifies not just a financial milestone but a commitment to shaping a smarter, more integrated future for vehicle services across Europe.
