The 4th China International Supply Chain Expo Expands Global Participation and Engagement
The 4th China International Supply Chain Expo: A Landmark Event
The 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) is set to take place in Beijing from June 22 to 26, 2026. This year's event is notable not only for its increasing international participation but also for new initiatives that seek to enhance its global footprint. As reported by Li Xingqian, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the expo is anticipated to achieve record levels of international engagement.
A Focus on International Representation
For the first time, Australia has been designated as the Guest Country of Honor for this year’s expo, marking a significant step in its formal involvement at the national level. This inclusion reflects the expo's expanding international profile, which continues to gain attention from global trade bodies and exhibitors alike. Additionally, five major international organizations will return as supporting partners, including UNCTAD, UNCITRAL, WIPO, ITC, and the ICC. Their participation underscores the importance of the expo in facilitating international trade discussions and collaborations.
A New Guest Province Initiative
This year, the CISCE is introducing an international Guest Province program that welcomes France's Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and Italy's Liguria region as the inaugural international Guest Provinces. These regions will join Chinese provinces, Anhui and Hainan, in showcasing their unique contributions to the global supply chain.
Highlighting Local Innovations
Anhui province plans to shine a spotlight on sci-tech innovations and advanced manufacturing, focusing on emerging industries like intelligent connected electric vehicles, next-gen information technology, artificial intelligence, high-end equipment manufacturing, advanced materials, and low-altitude aviation.
On the other hand, Hainan, poised to present during its first year of independent customs operations for the Hainan Free Trade Port, will emphasize the development of modern service sector supply chains while exploring institutional innovations and international cooperation opportunities associated with the free trade port.
A Global Network of Exhibitors
Thus far, exhibitors from 85 countries and regions, along with several international organizations, have confirmed participation. International exhibitors now constitute 36.5% of all participants, with over 65% being from Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders. Excitingly, more than 150 overseas delegations are set to convene in China for networking and business dialogues, indicating a promising turnout is expected, surpassing the previous edition of the event.
Event Launch and Key Initiatives
The opening ceremony is slated for the morning of June 22, where participants will collectively unveil the 4th CISCE Beijing Initiative aimed at fostering tighter global supply chain cooperation moving forward. This event exemplifies a concentrated effort to facilitate knowledge sharing, innovation, and sustainable practices in trade.
In conclusion, the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo promises not only to be a platform for showcasing advancements in supply chain mechanisms but also signifies a notable shift towards a more inclusive and internationally engaged approach to global trade. With emerging economies participating alongside established trade powerhouses, all eyes will be on Beijing as it hosts this landmark event in June 2026.
