Web Design Certification Online Seminar

Starting from August 10, 2026, Creek & River Company (C&R) will host a series of four free online seminars designed for individuals preparing for the Web Design Skills Certification Examination. This event aims to equip participants with essential knowledge of the internet, as well as practical skills for web design and operation.

About the Workshop

The seminar is structured into four sessions, addressing vital topics necessary for passing the Web Design Certification. Administered by the Nonprofit Internet Skill Certification Association, this certification is a national qualification system which assesses both practical skills and theoretical knowledge through examinations. The 2026 syllabus will cover:

• - Basic knowledge concerning the internet
• - Practical design, construction, and operation thinking
• - Techniques to better prepare for the practical examination

This course is suitable for candidates with knowledge equivalent to that required for the level 3 certification who are ready to advance further. Interested participants or those planning to take the certification are strongly encouraged to join.

1. August 10 (Monday) 19:00 - 20:00: Introduction to the Internet
- Overview of the internet mechanics, security, and relevant organizations.
- Understanding laws regarding copyright, personal information protection, and email legislation.

2. August 10 (Monday) 20:00 - 21:00: Web Design Technology
- Exploring the structure and specifications of HTML & CSS and the importance of style hierarchy.
- Learning basic JavaScript, PHP, and data management trends relevant to the exam.

3. August 14 (Friday) 19:00 - 20:00: Site Construction and Accessibility
- Techniques for site design and operation, encoding information, images, and videos.
- Introduction to information design and guidelines for accessibility and JIS standards.

4. August 14 (Friday) 20:00 - 21:00: Practical Work
- Overview of the practical exam and task requirements.
- Detailed instructions for tasks including HTML, CSS, structuring, linking, and image placement.
