CAO's 11th Annual Golf Classic Raises Significant Funds for Charity

The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics (CAO) Foundation is gearing up for its 11th Annual Golf Classic, scheduled for May 2 at the picturesque Whiskey Creek Golf Club in Ijamsville, Maryland. This much-anticipated event has already garnered nearly $50,000 in funds that will directly benefit local organizations and nonprofits. With this year’s contributions, the CAO Foundation's total assistance through the Golf Classic over the last four years has reached an impressive $200,000.

The proceeds from the 2025 Golf Classic will support an array of beneficiaries that include:

  • - Montgomery Cheetahs: This organization provides opportunities for children and young adults with developmental disabilities to engage in ice hockey, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • - Jump for Our Heroes: This nonprofit utilizes equine-assisted activities as a therapeutic engagement for veterans and first responders, promoting healing and building resilience.
  • - JUST TRYAN IT: Based in Bethesda, this nonprofit offers financial support to families of children undergoing cancer treatment, helping with essential expenses like housing and transportation.
  • - Hadassah Rehabilitation Center: Currently under development, this facility will offer holistic care to those recovering from physical and psychological trauma and is projected to serve up to 10,000 patients annually upon its completion.

Dr. Nicholas Grosso, President of CAO, reflected on the journey of the Golf Classic, stating, “More than a decade ago, we launched the Golf Classic as a way to support meaningful causes in our communities. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how the event has grown, helping us raise significant funds and generate greater awareness for organizations making a real difference across the region and beyond.”

Over the years, the CAO Foundation has also supported several notable organizations, including the Patriot Point, OHANA of Howard County, Bello Machre, Wounded Warrior Project, Providence Center, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the Paul Chester Children's Hope Foundation.

The CAO Foundation’s commitment to giving back has been evident since its inception. From initiatives supporting health-related charities to programs focusing on youth and community resilience, the organization plays a pivotal role in uplifting those in need.

Moreover, the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics itself has evolved into one of the largest orthopaedic care providers in the nation since its formation in 2013. Merging personalized patient care from private practice with the efficiencies of a larger network, CAO aims to offer a comprehensive range of musculoskeletal treatments. The foundation’s endeavors extend beyond typical healthcare services, ensuring that they engage with their local communities on meaningful levels.
