Conclusion of the Fourth China International Supply Chain Expo
The fourth edition of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) came to a successful end on June 26, 2026, in Beijing. This year's expo, centered around the theme "Connecting the World for a Shared Future", brought together 676 exhibitors from 85 countries and regions, highlighting the importance of collaboration in global supply chains. The presence of international participants accounted for 36.5% of the total, with notable contributions from Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders making up 65% of the exhibitors.
The event stood as a testament to the evolving landscape of international trade and cooperation, serving as an open platform with a strong focus on sustainability and results-focused discussions. Australia's participation as the guest of honor, alongside the French region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and the Italian region of Liguria, marked the first instances of overseas regions invited to join the expo. Additionally, provinces from China, such as Anhui and Hainan, were also in attendance, fostering interregional exchanges throughout the event.
This year's expo saw a remarkable increase in foreign business delegations, with 223 representatives attending, signifying a 29.7% rise compared to the previous edition. In terms of participation, the CISCE 2026 proved to be the largest gathering in the history of the event, drawing in over 1,200 exhibitors and supply chain partners. The event recorded a 22% increase in professional attendance, showcasing the heightened interest in supply chain technologies and collaborations.
To enhance engagement, the organizers held 70 business forums and two networking events that streamed live, collectively reaching over 62 million views online. Such initiatives underscored the expo's commitment to facilitating knowledge sharing and business development within the supply chain sector.
A significant highlight of this year’s event was the launch of the "CISCE Digital and Intelligent Initiative". The previous focus on Digital Technology was expanded to include a dedicated zone for artificial intelligence solutions. The expo also unveiled 161 new products, technologies, services, and applications, many of which were making their global or sectoral debut, illustrating the innovative spirit permeating the industry.
In conjunction with the expo, the 2026 edition of the Global Supply Chain Promotion Report and a new Global Supply Chain Resilience Index Matrix were released. These publications aim to offer fresh insights into the resilience of the global supply chain, an increasingly vital focus as businesses navigate the complexities of modern logistics.
Commercial activities flourished during the exhibition, with exhibitors establishing connections with 43,000 associated companies from both upstream and downstream supply chains, surpassing last year’s figures. On the final morning of the expo alone, 115 companies and institutions, both domestic and international, signed letters of intent to participate in the fifth CISCE. This advance booking reflected a 12.7% year-on-year increase, with 20 firms committing to multi-year agreements lasting three to five years.
Furthermore, the media coverage of the event expanded significantly, with over 2,300 journalists from China and around the world accredited to report on the happenings of the expo, marking a 21.5% increase from 2025. Such media interest further highlights the critical nature of global supply chains in modern commerce.
In summary, the CISCE 2026 successfully fostered international relationships and showcased innovative advancements that underscore the future of supply chain dynamics. As we look ahead to the next edition, the groundwork laid in this year's expo will undoubtedly serve as a catalyst for continued growth and collaboration across the global supply landscape.
