Human Campus High School Takes on Railway Model Contest 2025

Human Campus High School, under the Sato Gakuen educational corp, is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming "17th National High School Railway Model Contest 2025," set to take place from August 1 to 3. This event serves as a platform for students in the newly established Railway Service Major, launched in 2022 as the first of its kind in Japan’s correspondence education system, to demonstrate their learning outcomes.

Students in Action

The school's Railway Service Major team from the Akihabara Learning Center has been working diligently on their project, marking their third entry into this prestigious contest, fondly dubbed the “Koshien for Railway Enthusiasts.” Last year, they made headlines by winning the "Best Creative Award," followed by the "Best Quality Award" in 2024, setting a high standard for this year's challenge.

The contest brings together high school teams from across the nation, focusing on creating detailed railway-themed dioramas (layouts) that compete for recognition. Our dedicated students will enter the “Module Division,” where they will link dioramas of standard size to create an expansive railway landscape.

As the contest approaches, students are immersed in a three-month production period that includes countless design trials and constructive yet challenging discussions. The shared goal of excelling in this contest fosters a strong sense of camaraderie among team members, as they invest their passion and creativity into their work.

Following the competition, an Open School event is scheduled for August 23, where students will share insights from the contest at Human Campus High School’s Akihabara Center. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the exhibited contest entries and engage in discussions regarding the school and curriculum, including the railway major.
