Join the Ehon Exhibit at IKE-SUNPARK!
The exciting 'Try Ehon Exhibit' will be making its way to IKE-SUNPARK on April 26, 2025, thanks to the Kohken Group and the Toshima Green Disaster Prevention Park. This event invites families to dive into the world of book-making, fostering creativity and learning through fun workshops.
Since its inception in 2023, the Kohken Group has been hosting successful workshops encouraging book-making, reaching out to over 1,700 participants across six events. This has garnered acclaim, including a top spot in Tooshima's comprehensive access ranking on the Ikoyou site. Aiming to share this joy with even more children, the Kohken Group is stepping out of its usual venue to participate in the 'Koto Okoshi Caravan Pomppacaba!' event.
What to Expect at Pomppacaba!
'Pomppacaba!' is a collaborative workshop event co-hosted by the Kohken Group and IKE-SUNPARK, designed to inspire both play and learning. This inaugural event will take place in the expansive grounds of IKE-SUNPARK, one of Toshima's largest open spaces. Here, attendees will not only explore the art of book-making but will also enjoy a variety of other creative activities. Participants can engage in making remote-controlled cars or create traditional carp streamers using upcycled materials, providing everyone with the chance to immerse themselves in the joy of crafting.

Learning Through Crafting
The Kohken Group prides itself on being a book-loving company that handles everything from planning to production and promotion. The 'Try Ehon Exhibit' motivates participants to appreciate the art of book creation. From folding a single sheet of paper and binding to cutting it, attendees will witness the transformation of materials into a finished book!
This initiative was birthed by the straightforward desire of one of the company's employees to share their love for books. Their vision not only aims to celebrate creativity within the community but also emphasizes sustainability. By using materials provided by various cooperating companies as much as possible, the workshops champion upcycling and environmental awareness. This conscious effort, incorporating leftover materials like sample products and offcuts, reflects their commitment to SDGs, transforming what would be waste into valuable resources.
During the event, children will engage in activities that encourage them to think about sustainability, demonstrating that waste can indeed be fun! The broad involvement of approximately 35 sponsoring enterprises ensures that a diverse range of materials is available to participants.
Get Involved!
As we invite you to join this unique event, we like to remind attendees that “making the most of our resources can be enjoyable!” The 'Try Ehon Exhibit' serves as a wonderful opportunity for interaction between people, the community, and businesses, aiming to foster a valuable exchange of ideas. We encourage everyone interested in joining this enriching experience to reach out!
