Mizumu Tokyo Transforms Lunch with New Semi-Buffet Style



The luxurious hotel, Mizumu Tokyo, part of the Autograph Collection, is set to enhance the dining experience at its French restaurant, Chef's Theatre, starting April 1, 2026. This new offering, known as the "Traiteur Semi-Buffet Lunch," will replace the traditional lunch courses previously served, with the last lunch course available on March 31.

Mizumu Tokyo has always focused on providing a theatrical dining experience, offering creative stories through its meals. With the guidance of Culinary Meister Koki Kumamoto and his team, the restaurant now invites guests to enjoy a more versatile lunch format. Inspired by the French concept of "Traiteur," meaning "delicatessen," this semi-buffet allows patrons to choose their main dish from a selection of freshly prepared options while also indulging in a variety of appetizers and desserts.

The semi-buffet features approximately 15 types of amuse-bouches and appetizers, three types of bread, three main dishes (with guests able to choose one), four dessert options, and two drink choices. Each buffet station resembles a Traiteur showcase, bursting with vibrant and aromatic dishes, including charcuterie, terrines, and more. Guests can enjoy as much as they desire from the appetizers, selecting items according to their preference for the day.

For the mains, options include a sautéed fish dish, a roast pork, or a premium domestic beef—each served hot and with an inviting aroma that adds to the enjoyment. The attentive preparation ensures that each dish is in a perfect state for tasting at its finest, fulfilling the vision of delivering delightful gastronomic experiences. The meal elegantly concludes with a dessert round, providing approximately 90 minutes of immersive dining in true French bistronomy style.
