Major Update for ArcheAge War Unveiled
The MMORPG
ArcheAge War, a cross-platform game developed by
XL Games and published by
Kakao Games, has recently launched a significant update on April 22, 2026. This update focuses on enhancing player experience with the addition of exciting new features, including the long-awaited area called the
Cursed Ruins, a new crafting system for legendary gear, and various balance adjustments for different professions.
New Area: Cursed Ruins
One of the most notable features of this update is the introduction of the
Cursed Ruins, a new area located in the continent of
Iristel. Designed to be an extension of the existing
Plains of Hatred, this region offers a dual-layer difficulty system to match player growth. Gamers can now explore the
Cursed Ruins, encountering fresh combat scenarios while progressively developing their characters.
New Seasonal Look: Dancing Cherry Blossoms
In celebration of the coming spring, the update also introduces a seasonal appearance titled
Dancing Cherry Blossoms. This new cosmetic includes legendary class outfits such as the
Spring Breeze Pioneer and the heroic class
Floral Yata, alongside a unique pet called the
Drowsy Ram. Players can integrate these items into their gameplay for a vibrant and festive atmosphere that embodies the spirit of spring.
Crafting System for Legendary Gear
Moreover, the update features a groundbreaking
Crafting System, allowing players to challenge themselves in acquiring legendary gear. The new system has a shared crafting limit across all servers, creating equal opportunities for everyone. To craft these items, players will need to gather new material items:
Pieces of Honor and
Trace of Sovereignty. These components can be obtained by defeating monsters in existing dungeons like
Forbidden Mazes and
Shatigon's Vault, ensuring that all players have the chance to acquire legendary gear.
Skill Balance Adjustments for Professions
To address the ongoing challenges faced by melee classes against ranged and magic professions, the update includes significant skill balance adjustments. This change aims to enhance combat fairness by adding rush effects for melee professions like one-handed swords, two-handed swords, and dual-wield weapons, making it easier for them to engage in close combat. Additionally, various adjustments have been made to the gunslinger class, given its previously advantageous range, which now benefits from increased cooldown times on abilities like
Smoke Screen and improved effects on skills such as
Iron Bullet.
Dungeon Openings in the Guderon Server
Lastly, users of the
Guderon Server can now access two new dungeons:
Echo of Nebe and
Forgotten Nebe Cave. Previously exclusive to general servers, these dungeons now provide additional dimensions to exploration and character growth within the game. Matching will be limited to players within the Guderon Server, promoting a close-knit community experience.
