Aoba-BBT Celebrates 30 Years with Entrepreneurial Dialogue on Business Growth and IPO Pathways

Overview of Aoba-BBT's 30th Anniversary Project

Aoba-BBT proudly launches the commemorative project celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Attackers Business School (ABS), welcoming distinguished graduate Akira Ochi, CEO of Refineverse Group, for an insightful dialogue with Aoba-BBT's representative, Iwao Shibata. This initiative represents a key component of Aoba-BBT's overarching theme for the 2025 to 2027 anniversary project: "Life-time Empowerment in Invisible Continent." The aim is to visualize the value of lifelong learning through the challenges and successes of ABS alumni.

Background of Refineverse Group

Refineverse Group has garnered attention for its unique recycling technology that reprocesses discarded materials into valuable resources. With advanced technology for recycling automobile parts, textiles, and industrial waste, the company drives Japan's next-generation industries towards realizing a circular economy.

The Dialogue’s Core Themes

This special dialogue aims to uncover how the learning experiences at ABS contributed to Ochi's entrepreneurial journey from founding his company to achieving an IPO.

1. Transforming Learning into Action

Ochi's acquired knowledge in business creation frameworks and entrepreneurial thinking at ABS transformed into actionable strategies. The curriculum emphasizes a practical approach—reading the market, formulating hypotheses, and swiftly moving to action. This discussion will explore how ABS's hands-on philosophy influenced Ochi's process of starting a venture and successfully taking it public.

2. Navigating Uncertainty through Decision-making

Entrepreneurs frequently encounter moments of doubt and unexpected challenges. ABS fosters the ability to confront questions without clear answers, honing the crucial thinking and judgment skills needed in such scenarios. Ochi will denote how he overcame uncertainty, leveraging ABS methods to elevate his decision-making capabilities.

3. Message for the Next Generation

Ochi will also share insights aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs and business leaders, discussing essential thought processes for continuing challenges and principles of management. His message will elaborate on how the action philosophy rooted in ABS catalyzes significant career progression for future leaders.

Significance of the Dialogue in the Anniversary Project

This event embodies key aspects of the anniversary project focusing on strengthening community connections, highlighting role models, and nurturing lifelong learning cycles.
