Japan Lions Introduces Innovative Free10running Charity Event for 2026

Experience the Free10running Event with Japan Lions

On October 31, 2026, the Japan Lions will host a remarkable charity event called the Free10running Charity Action 2026. This innovative initiative, in collaboration with Doshin EC, celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Japan Lions while emphasizing community and social service.

What is Free10running?

Free10running is about freedom and individuality. Unlike traditional races, participants can choose their starting point and route, aiming for a common goal without the pressure of competitive timing. It's an event that invites everyone to enjoy running or walking at their own tempo, making it accessible to all.

Key Features of the Free10running Event:

  • - Flexible Start Locations: Begin from your home, a local park, or nearby your workplace—wherever it feels best for you!
  • - Personal Routes: Select a course that suits you. Whether it's scenic or urban, it's entirely up to you.
  • - Inclusive Participation: Whether you prefer to jog, run slowly, or walk, all are welcome.
  • - Group Participation: Invite family and friends to join you in this joyous experience.
  • - Single Goal Destination: Race towards Toyosu Gururi Park in Koto City to finish together.

Participants are encouraged to reflect on their unique journeys: Will you challenge yourself alone, or enjoy the company of loved ones, perhaps including your pet? Regardless of skill level, everyone can participate in their unique style.

Community Spirit and Togetherness

As runners approach the finish line, they will don matching charity T-shirts, creating a sense of unity as they converge from various paths at the same goal. This spirit of camaraderie and human connection is a hallmark of Free10running.

A Step Towards Social Contribution

The Japan Lions, adhering to the principle of “We Serve,” actively engage in community support through this event. Rather than merely celebrating a decade of service, they aim for meaningful community involvement. The merging of Free10running's flexible approach with the Lions' service ethos creates an inviting environment for runners and walkers alike to contribute positively to society.

A portion of the registration fees will be directed to a significant cause, specifically the Sapporo Children's Hospice – Hokkaido Model, an initiative by Solways, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for children with serious health issues and their families.

Enjoy Lemonade for a Cause

In an additional charitable effort, the FREE 10 Charity Action 2026 will also feature a lemonade stand at the finish line, where proceeds support research and treatment for pediatric cancer. By offering lemonade, we aim to foster an atmosphere of support, encouraging donations that fuel vital healthcare initiatives.
