A Unique Collaboration for a Renewed Breakfast Experience
In an exciting first-time collaboration, Kichijoji Excel Hotel Tokyu, managed by Minoru Saito, has partnered with Nagatanien, helmed by President Hiroshi Kaketani. This partnership is set to run from May 15 to May 30, enabling hotel guests to experience the long-loved product, "Ochazuke Nori," during breakfast. Driven by findings from a May survey which established that a warm breakfast can positively influence one's day, this initiative offers guests the opportunity to enjoy this beloved seaweed seasoning amid tantalizing Japanese breakfast options.
The collaboration comes at a time when Nagatanien's "Ochazuke Nori" marks an impressive 74 years since its introduction to Japanese households, where it has earned a beloved status. The product’s popularity can be attributed not only to its convenience and delectable flavor but also to the comforting emotions it brings to its consumers. Research has shown that many respondents felt a positive shift in mood after enjoying this dish.
An analysis was conducted among 564 working individuals, revealing that an astounding 82.1% felt positive effects from eating breakfast, and among them, 84.2% added warm items to their morning meals. This indicates that the warmth of breakfast food itself holds transformative power, influencing emotional well-being and setting a favorable tone for the day.
The collaboration with Tokyu Hotels, a group emphasizing the importance of a delicious breakfast for starting the day right, resonates with both parties’ convictions regarding breakfast's essential role in shaping a good day. With a vision of fostering smiles through breakfast, Tokyu Hotels has enriched its menu offerings, creating a delightful space where guests can relish meals and create fond memories.
In the words of Takahiro Nakamura, the beverage manager at Kichijoji Excel Hotel Tokyu, the objective is to create a hospital environment where local residents feel inclined to connect. Visitors, including families, couples, and locals from nearby shopping districts, have responded positively to the cozy ambiance of the hotel. Nakamura emphasized that the warmth of community ties is essential in building lasting partnerships, hence their collaboration with Nagatanien for this project.
Guests indulged in various traditional Japanese breakfast dishes such as grilled fish and pickled vegetables alongside the Ochazuke Nori, creating an unforgettable experience that encourages one to savor their breakfast leisurely. The enthusiasm surrounding this collaboration demonstrates a commitment to nurturing connections within the community and offers insight into the lasting impact of shared meals.
