Announcement of the Second Beyond SDGs Public-Private Conference Forum



The Beyond SDGs Public-Private Conference (Chairperson: Kenji Kanai, Professor at Keio University Graduate School of Media and Governance) has confirmed that it will hold its second forum on February 6, 2026.

Forum Overview


The morning session of the forum will be a public discussion focusing on international targets beyond 2030 (Beyond SDGs), featuring inputs and discussions led by scholars and experts in relevant fields. In the afternoon, subcommittee sessions will commence based on the "six entry points" outlined in the UN's Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR), allowing for detailed dialogues under the guidance of co-chairs.

Everyone interested in the future society post-2030 is invited to participate. Registration for the subcommittee sessions will be available from January 5, 2026, on the official website here.

The afternoon session will focus on discussions leading towards Beyond SDGs, sharing directions for subcommittee activities running from 2026 to 2027.

They are designed to facilitate discussions around future target frameworks without being limited by existing paradigms, while also incorporating interconnections of issues.
