AI Storm Successfully Completes the AI Utilization Consultation Series in Collaboration with MCEI Tokyo

AI Storm's Consultation Series Concludes

In an era increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence, AI Storm Inc. (formerly Jexceed) has successfully wrapped up its comprehensive series of consultation meetings on AI utilization. Conducted in collaboration with the nonprofit organization MCEI Tokyo, the last of the three sessions took place on July 24, 2026. The initiative reflects AI Storm's commitment to guiding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in harnessing the power of AI while maintaining a healthy balance between dependence on technology and human oversight.

A Journey Over Three Sessions

The initiative commenced in September 2025 after numerous inquiries from participants at a research meeting hosted by MCEI Tokyo, where many expressed confusion over where to start with AI implementations. Following an initial phase of individualized consultations that began in October, the series was formally launched in April 2026. Led by AI Storm's President, Toshio Imai, alongside Chief Data Scientist Hiroyuki Shindo, the consultation series aimed at empowering SMEs to integrate AI into their operations.

Breakdown of Sessions

  • - Session 1 (April 22, 2026): Focused on understanding the current landscape, identifying challenges, and brainstorming AI utilization ideas.
  • - Session 2 (June 26, 2026): Emphasized project design and how to translate ideas into actionable projects.
  • - Session 3 (July 24, 2026): Concerned with executing and improving the learned methodologies.

Adopting a Balanced Approach to AI

A significant theme emerged during the second session, which highlighted the optimal uses of generative AI. Participants learned the importance of utilizing AI for data gathering and analysis while ensuring that human oversight remained integral in crafting application materials. For example, specific details regarding salary, work conditions, and employee testimonials, which AI cannot generate and are critical for recruitment ads, were provided exclusively by workplace personnel.

Enhancements in Job Listings

The final session saw a focus on job listings within staffing companies primarily in the Kanto region. AI was effectively used to increase the number of applications received. The transformation stemmed from understanding how information is best presented in job ads. Often, job portals only display the first few lines, and if vital information is not available upfront, potential candidates are less likely to engage further.

The initial job listing format consisted of a list of responsibilities combined with general appeals to potential candidates, such as welcoming inexperienced applicants. The revised version prioritized specific and practical information, like monthly salary, transportation allowances, end-of-day timings, and any overtime requirements, effectively guiding AI to analyze and prioritize recruitment content. The result was a notable increase in applicants due to a more enticing presentation of the information.

The Insights Gained from the Consultation Series

Through the three consultations, a clear pathway emerged about how SMEs can transition from recognizing their issues to employing AI strategically. The first stage involves clearly defining business challenges, while the second focuses on deciding where AI can be effectively used. Without a clear separation between human tasks and AI capabilities, AI applications tend to stagnate.

For instance, despite observing an uptick in applications, companies reported early employee turnover due to insufficient on-boarding efforts. This situation reveals the complexity of recruitment extends beyond merely attracting candidates.

Examples discussed during the series emphasized that pinpointing AI’s domain does not limit its potential; rather, it ensures more meaningful contributions toward tangible outcomes. Continuous analysis of competitors' hiring practices and success stories revealed insights often overlooked by the companies themselves, thereby honing recruitment strategies.

Future Outlook

The consultation series has paved the way for a structured approach to continuously gathering competitor recruitment information, allowing AI to supply the necessary data for informed decision-making. This design logic is not just about immediate results; it entails a deeper understanding of AI's role from defining problems to executing improved strategies. Moving forward, AI Storm plans to extend this model of collaboration with various organizations across different regions. Amidst the pressing labor shortages that many SMEs face, a fruitful opportunity exists to connect AI with practical results, enhancing Japan's overall competitive abilities.
