Abu Dhabi's Health Ministry and Sanofi Join Forces in Vaccine Innovation
In a significant announcement at the BIO International Convention 2026, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with biopharmaceutical leader Sanofi aimed at boosting vaccine innovation. This partnership is set to establish a Vaccine Innovation Center in Abu Dhabi, focusing on advancing various areas including AI-backed research, mRNA technology, and the clinical development and manufacturing of vaccines.
H.E. Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, the Undersecretary of the DoH, stated, “This collaboration with Sanofi brings together AI, scientific research, and advanced manufacturing techniques within a single ecosystem. It is designed to expedite the path from discovery to application.” This forward-thinking approach reflects Abu Dhabi's commitment to creating an environment conducive to innovation, where solutions can be developed, tested, and scaled for improving health outcomes globally.
