This finding suggests that those closely connected to the assistants appreciate the demanding nature of their work, which typically includes tasks such as bed-making, assisting patients with mobility, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in medical facilities.

Despite this familial recognition, the situation differs when it comes to societal awareness. The survey revealed that only around 48.7% of respondents felt recognized by society at large, meaning that nearly half feel their vital role goes unnoticed. When asked whether the term 'nursing assistant' is widely known, 59.3% of participants felt that the name is not well recognized, pointing to a significant gap in public knowledge. Many noted that alternative names such as 'nurse aide', 'nursing helper', or 'nurse assistant' might overshadow the official title 'nursing assistant', creating confusion and a lack of clarity about their responsibilities.

The survey underscores a critical need for increased awareness of the nursing assistant profession.
