This recognition spans various smart livestock systems in dairy farming, fattening, and pig farming, solidifying U-motion® as the leading choice for Japanese livestock producers.

This achievement is attributed to the long-standing accuracy and stability of their sensors, which have been continuously improved through practical applications in various production environments across Japan. Furthermore, the integration of multiple data domains—such as medical, environmental, purchasing, and biological data—under the U-motion Platform has significantly contributed to their market penetration and success.

U-motion Platform: A Revolutionary Data Integration System

With a mission to support farmers in moving to the next stage, Desamis has harnessed data generated in livestock farming since 2020 to create a framework that seamlessly connects field operations with business practices. This initiative leverages information related to diseases, treatments, and management history to enhance awareness of individual animal health through a diagnosis DX model, thus contributing to improved operational efficiency and working practices.

Tackling Livestock Manure Challenges with OHD

Faced with the prominent issue of livestock manure processing, Desamis has undertaken a field trial for their organic matter breakdown device, OHD. Conducted between October and December 2025 in Kagoshima Prefecture, the trial yielded impressive results—with approximately 96% reduction in manure volume. The process involved 7,786.6 kg of manure being processed to recover 345.5 kg of ceramic powder, showcasing OHD’s potential in enhancing transportation efficiency in livestock operations. Through these initiatives, Desamis aims to contribute to sustainable development goals, including GHG reduction.

Aiming for Evolution with AI

Desamis continues to evolve its U-motion Platform, which integrates various data domains through the chat tool Chumly, enhancing data-driven decision-making in farm management. By implementing AI features such as AI-OCR in December 2024 and voice input capabilities in March 2025, they aim to significantly reduce input burdens in the field while developing systems to facilitate smoother data aggregation and utilization.
