Infomart Welcomes Akira Hayashi as Technology Advisor
Infomart, a leading company dedicated to optimizing business operations through digital solutions, has announced that Professor Akira Hayashi from the University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Engineering will join as a technology advisor starting October 1, 2025. This strategic move is set to enhance the capabilities of Infomart's BtoB platform, which serves over 1.2 million companies, by integrating advanced data utilization practices and artificial intelligence (AI) implementations.
Background on Data Utilization
Data has been described as the “oil of the 21st century,” highlighting its critical role as a business resource. While many private enterprises have made strides in leveraging their internal data, collaboration and the effective use of shared data among companies and stakeholders remain insufficient in today’s landscape. Infomart aims to bridge this gap by creating a valuable data platform and unlocking new opportunities for businesses and municipalities to utilize data effectively.
Professor Hayashi, who began collaborative research using AI with Infomart last year, is recognized for his insights into the interactions between people and data. His participation in keynotes and panel discussions, including the upcoming AI Conference in 2025, underscores his commitment to advancing these themes further. This partnership will enable Infomart to enhance its data insight and develop new AI-driven business solutions, staying ahead of market trends.
Vision and Commitment
In a recent statement, Professor Hayashi expressed enthusiasm about his appointment, stating, “AI and data utilization are fundamentally transforming transaction methods and the service industry structure. I aim to contribute my academic expertise to drive the further evolution of BtoB platforms and create impactful value.” He emphasizes the importance of bridging research with practical application, supporting sustainable and socially impactful initiatives.
Infomart's Vice President, Shin Kimura, echoed this sentiment, noting, “We are thrilled to welcome Professor Hayashi. His extensive knowledge will bring new value to the vast amount of inter-company data on our BtoB platform. With his guidance, we will accelerate data utilization and AI implementation, developing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.” Infomart remains committed to using data and AI innovations to facilitate inter-company transactions.
