Inland Empire Health Plan Achieves Top Provider Satisfaction Rankings Nationwide

In a notable achievement, Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), recognized as one of the largest Medicaid health plans in the United States, recently attained a remarkable national ranking in overall satisfaction according to Press Ganey's Provider Experience Survey. The results place IEHP in the prestigious 100th percentile, reflecting its devotion to provider experience and member care.

This year’s survey involved the participation of 3,000 providers connected to the IEHP network, with 962 professionals completing the feedback instrument. The survey assessed numerous aspects, including the efficacy of the health plan's call center, as well as the efficiency of claims processing and coordination of care. The varied mix of respondents includes primary care physicians, specialists, and mental health professionals, all contributing vital insights into their experiences with the plan.

IEHP’s CEO, Jarrod McNaughton, expressed immense pride in the results, asserting that such successes underscore how the organization's programs are positively affecting the lives of its 1.4 million members and the nearly 10,000 providers within its network. He emphasized the importance of provider feedback in enhancing healthcare quality, stating, "I am deeply grateful to our provider network and every team member whose dedication is helping to reshape what healthcare can look like in the Inland Empire."

The survey's findings highlighted IEHP's consistent scoring in various critical areas compared to similar health plans. Among these areas, providers particularly noted satisfaction with overall services, financial matters, management of utilization and quality, pharmacy services, staffing levels at call centers, and the quality of provider relations.

In addition to these commendable metrics, an impressive 98% of providers surveyed indicated they would endorse IEHP to other physician-led practices, showcasing a strong sense of trust and reliability within the network.

However, not all feedback was entirely positive. The survey also identified specific areas that require improvement, notably interpreter services and telehealth education. Following these insights, IEHP's Provider Experience department has meticulously crafted a detailed plan to address the identified issues. Their strategy includes augmenting resources dedicated to clinical workflow support as well as enhancing technological infrastructure, ensuring consistent development in these crucial aspects.
