Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: The RED TOKYO Business Plan Presentation

On February 2, 2026, the RED TOKYO business plan presentation will take place, marking an important event for women entrepreneurs. This gathering, organized by Pasona Group in collaboration with the Kanto Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, aims to support and empower female entrepreneurs across Japan.

In recent years, the role of entrepreneurs has become crucial for Japan’s economic growth. However, the representation of women among these entrepreneurs remains distressingly low due to various challenges such as life events impacting business and limited access to funding and resources, particularly in male-dominated networks. To address these challenges, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is expanding initiatives like the “GIRAFFES JAPAN” program, which supports locally-focused development for female entrepreneurs.

Pasona Group, known for promoting women’s participation in the workforce, is at the forefront of this initiative, running the program in the Kanto region. The RED TOKYO event will feature ten inspiring finalists who have advanced through the regional selection round, each presenting their unique business plans. This event not only showcases their innovative ideas but also provides a platform for networking with supporters and fellow entrepreneurs.

Finalists

The selected finalists for this year’s event include: Emiko Ueno, Aki Onishi, Kaori Ohira, Junna Kasahara, Kazuyo Kobayashi, Kaho Taniguchi, Manaka Domoto, Yo Fukagawa, Fuyumi Wakamatsu, and Katsuko Watanabe. The emcee will be Chie Kimura, CEO of LUNDATTE and an advocate for GIRAFFES JAPAN.
