LX Pantos Successfully Completes Advanced Weaponry Logistics Project
On September 8, 2026, LX Pantos proudly announced the successful completion of a complex cross-border defense logistics project focused on advanced weaponry. This noteworthy endeavor facilitated the transportation of air-to-air missiles (AAMs) from France to Korea, specifically for the Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH) program of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, under the supervision of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA). LX Pantos executed this project on behalf of Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI).
The air-to-air missiles were dispatched by a European defense contractor, with flights arranged by LX Pantos that began from Châteauroux Airport in France. These missiles were then delivered to Incheon International Airport in Korea. LX Pantos ensured the safe transport of this sensitive cargo by employing a chartered flight that allowed for the exclusive handling of the missiles. Thus, ensuring maximum security and safety throughout the transportation process.
The shipment was classified as explosives belonging to class 1, division 1.2, compatibility group E, making it subject to the strictest levels of security protocols. The transportation of hazardous materials, particularly military equipment, is a highly specialized operation that must adhere to international regulations set forth by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as well as applicable national aviation safety standards.
During this operation, LX Pantos obtained overflight permits from 14 countries spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. They coordinated multi-modal transportation through their extensive global network, which includes subsidiaries in Europe. This successful operation demonstrates LX Pantos’s expanding capabilities in defense logistics, particularly since they received an 'Excellent' rating in a security evaluation by Korea's Defense Counterintelligence Command in 2024.
Additionally, LX Pantos achieved Assessment Level 3 (AL3) accreditation, the highest level under the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) framework, indicating their compliance with global standards concerning information security.
A representative from LX Pantos highlighted that the successful execution of this project exemplifies their advanced expertise in handling safety, security, and logistics. They affirmed their ongoing commitment to support global clients within the defense sector while also enhancing their role in the defense logistics market.
