Tokyo Social Innovation Tech Award 2025
The Tokyo Social Innovation Tech Award 2025 serves as a platform to highlight and support exceptional solutions developed by local SMEs within the capital. This event aims to evaluate and select outstanding innovations, promoting partnerships and accelerating the dissemination of these solutions to address pressing social issues in Tokyo.
In its seventh year, the award received a remarkable 137 submissions. From this competitive pool, eleven remarkable solutions were recognized as winners for their outstanding contribution to solving various societal challenges.
Grand Prize Winner
Solution: “Saving Lives DX” Emergency Medical Information System
NSER mobile (AI sector)
Social Issue Addressed: As Japan continues to face an increasingly aging population, the demand for emergency services grows. This innovation seeks to mitigate the overwhelming work pressures faced by emergency services and bridge the information gap with healthcare facilities.
Excellence Award Winners
Solution: “LeakNet Cellular LNL-C” - A high-precision AI system for detecting water pipeline leaks, aimed at improving preventive maintenance.
Social Issue Addressed: This solution addresses the dual challenges of aging water pipelines leading to leak risks and the manpower shortages impacting maintenance.
Solution: Medical rehabilitation device using Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) technology, dubbed
LIFESCAPES medical BMI.
Social Issue Addressed: This technology aims to help individuals with movement paralysis regain a quality of life previously deemed unattainable.
Special Technical Award Winners
Solution: “MEGURU” - A parking patrol assistance system using an AI camera to read license plates.
Social Issue Addressed: This innovation aims to enhance digital transformation in parking services, preventing incidents of children being left unattended in vehicles.
Solution: “Chrovis Annotation Service” - An assistive tool for medical professionals and patients involved in genomic medicine.
Social Issue Addressed: The service looks to alleviate the burden on physicians during cancer gene panel tests while ensuring patients receive appropriate medical care.
Encouragement Award Winners
Solution: “SeaUp®+” - A GIS platform utilizing digital twin technology for visualizing underwater environmental data and fisheries resources.
Social Issue Addressed: This tool seeks to optimize dredging operations in fishing ports, addressing challenges related to the maintenance of port infrastructure.
Solution: “TRANCITY” - A digital twin platform that generates 3D models from videos and manages them via mapping.
Social Issue Addressed: Aimed at optimizing the management of infrastructure facilities through seamless sharing and efficiency in digital 4D management (3D + time).
Solution: An AI-powered platform that automatically formulates CO₂ emission reduction plans while balancing decarbonization with economic viability.
Social Issue Addressed: Tackles the challenge of executing CO₂ reductions after calculations have been made and addresses cost-related anxieties.
Solution: “Ohanashi TV” - Care technology incorporates brain activation support, health assistance, and maintaining the quality of life.
Social Issue Addressed: Targets health maintenance for the elderly, prevention of isolation, and alleviates the burden on care and social security amid Japan's super-aged society.
Solution: A SaaS product that optimizes home medical and caregiving visit schedules to enhance revenue.
Social Issue Addressed: Responds to labor shortages in home care through strategic scheduling, promoting sustainable local medical services.
Solution: “CocoBOX” - A disaster prevention solution aimed at transitioning from reliance on human resources to disaster prevention DX by supporting the rapid establishment of evacuation facilities.
Social Issue Addressed: Streamlines emergency response actions during large-scale disasters while addressing labor shortages exacerbated by an aging population.
