Ready, Set, Run! 4th Annual 5K at Ontario International Airport
Lace up your running shoes because the early registration for the 4th Annual 5K at Ontario International Airport (ONT) is officially open! This year's event is set to take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, and it's a fantastic opportunity for both seasoned runners and families looking to engage in a community-centric activity while supporting a great cause.
The 5K race will kick off at 8 a.m. from the National Guard hangar on the southern side of the airfield. For those more interested in a leisurely pace, there will also be a 1-mile family walk or run starting at 9:30 a.m. Participants can look forward to an inviting celebration from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. featuring food trucks, live entertainment, and vendor booths that will cater to the entire family.
Atif Elkadi, CEO of the Ontario International Airport Authority, expressed his enthusiasm: "Where else can you run alongside the excitement of flight and the beauty of wide-open Southern California skies? The ONT 5K has become one of our most cherished traditions, uniting runners, walkers, and families from all over the region in a unique SoCal airport experience."
The event is not only about fitness and fun; it also gives back to the community. A portion of the proceeds from the 5K will be donated to the USO at ONT, which is the third-largest USO in the nation and plays a crucial role in supporting thousands of service members each year as they travel through Ontario.
Registration Details
Early bird registration is available now until December 13. The fees are set at $50 for the 5K event and $20 for the family walk/run during this early period. After December 13, prices will increase to $55 for the 5K and $25 for the family event, and on race day, registration fees will escalate further to $60 and $30, respectively.
