Event Report: RKKCS at the Co-Creation PF Camp
On June 25, 2025, RKKCS (Kumamoto, Japan), a company specializing in providing systems to local governments and financial institutions, took part in the Digital Agency's Co-Creation PF Camp focusing on the utilization of AI in municipal operations. This event aimed to promote the application of AI in local governments and address operational challenges faced by municipal staff.
The Co-Creation PF (Platform) serves as a communication tool utilizing Slack, enabling employees of local public entities and government agencies to engage directly in discussions. The offline workshop gathered around 40 municipal employees registered with the Co-Creation PF to share insights and foster discussions regarding the transformative potential of AI in governance. RKKCS, with extensive experience in developing core systems for over 300 municipalities, proposed practical ideas for business transformation through AI and engaged in spirited discussions with participants.
Event Highlights
During the event, various organizations and companies introduced services and mockups that contribute to increasing efficiency in municipal operations, delivering 15-minute demonstrations. After the presentations, attendees had the chance to engage in more in-depth discussions and Q&A sessions centered around the details of each exhibit. RKKCS aimed to cultivate deeper discussions on future municipal workflows powered by AI, leading to effective solutions for real-world challenges faced by local administrations.
RKKCS's Mockup and Demonstration Details
RKKCS showcased its generative AI-based manual system, "Otonarisan," launched in April, along with a mockup developed from an AI ideathon hosted by the Digital Agency in January in Uwajima City. This mockup illustrated the integration of core databases and generative AI, where AI is set to substitute certain administrative tasks traditionally handled by personnel at comprehensive reception desks. The concept was to utilize data from the comprehensive administrative system to automatically assist residents with essential information based on their particulars.
A specific use case focused on the administrative procedures involved when families separate, particularly concerning child allowances. Only crucial data regarding household members and child allowance qualifications were fed to the system, with AI generating guidance for staff based on the unique situations arising from these separations, thus enhancing clarity and precision in procedures. Feedback from municipal staff highlighted the value of AI-generated instructions that are specific and concise, emphasizing the need for timely service deployment.
Feedback from RKKCS Participants
Takayuki Tokuyama, director of RKKCS's Planning Office, expressed appreciation for the engaged audience at the event, noting their strong sense of urgency around operational challenges and expectations from AI solutions. He emphasized the insightful ideas shared during the event, which included demonstrations from various partners, and reiterated RKKCS's commitment to advance service development that resonates with client needs and ensures sustainable community contributions.
