Kolmar Korea, a prominent player in the custom cosmetics industry, has once again secured a prestigious spot in TIME's listing of the World's Best Companies for Sustainable Growth in 2026. This recognition marks the second consecutive year that Kolmar Korea has earned this accolade, highlighting its leadership in sustainable and eco-friendly business practices. The rankings, made public on November 13, were established in collaboration with Statista, which assessed over 4,000 global companies for their commitment to sustainability.

Kolmar Korea ranked 294th overall and impressively stands in the top 7% of assessed companies worldwide. The evaluation criteria were based on three equally weighted factors: revenue growth, financial stability, and environmental impact, scored on a scale of 100. Despite intensifying competition from other global firms showcasing strong sustainability and financial performance, Kolmar Korea managed to maintain a high score of 81.02.

In a significant achievement, Kolmar Korea ranked 2nd among Korean companies in terms of carbon intensity and emissions metrics, while also placing in the top 30% globally for waste and water management. This success reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to eco-friendly innovations and sustainable development.

Notably, Kolmar Korea is at the forefront of sustainable packaging solutions, having developed pioneering innovations such as paper tubes and boxes with single-handed pumps, significantly reducing plastic usage. Their paper tube and paper tube designs have garnered all three of the most prestigious global design awards: the IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards), the iF Design Award, and the Red Dot Design Award.

Additionally, Kolmar Korea has accelerated its development of sustainable formulas and ingredients, showcasing a Green Technology-certified sunscreen that utilizes a rejuvenating ingredient extraction process, reducing carbon emissions by 83%. The company also offers biodegradable hair and body care products that naturally decompose over 99%, minimizing environmental impact.

Enhancing its sustainable manufacturing capabilities, Kolmar Korea has achieved a waste recycling rate of 84.8% and reduced landfill waste by 57.8% year-on-year under its Zero-Landfill initiative. Moreover, Kolmar Korea actively contributes to the growth of South Korea's beauty ecosystem by fostering collaborative growth with emerging independent beauty brands. This includes hosting seminars on beauty trends and marketing strategies, providing temporary pop-up spaces at the Seoul Beauty Week, and leading the CONNECT FOR GREEN seminar since 2023 to build a shared ESG value chain.

Yoon Sang Hyun, Vice Chairman of Kolmar Group, commented on this recognition, stating, "Being recognized as one of the leading sustainable growth companies in the world for the second year in a row illustrates our comprehensive and long-term commitment to sustainable management. We will continue to take responsibility as a global company representing Korea, promoting eco-friendly management and technological innovation."
